new modest mouse single

i was really excited to find out of Modest Mouse's new single,  "satellite skin". They had previously told he public after their last album that they were going to go back to analogue instruments and go back to their older styles. I was very disappointed in their new single, i must say. I would not recommend getting it. The instruments are analogue and do sound a lot better then their previous album, but the vocals are not good and it is not what your expecting from a Modest Mouse song. It turns to rather a country-esque vibe towards the middle of the song. I would just get "the fruit that ate itself" instead.

Modest Mouse's Sad Sappy Sucker is actually composed of the band's first recordings when they were 14 and 15, some of which remained unreleased until 2001. Several songs were recorded at Olympia, Washington's Dub Narcotic Studios in 1994. The record was released by K Records on April 24, 2001, available in both Compact Disc and vinyl LP.
